Well I suppose our UK entry got what we deserved. Choosing an unknown kid to sing an anodyne, dated song merely served to show that we couldn't be bothered to make an effort. I listened to our entry before switching channels and was not impressed either by the song or Josh's wobbly high notes - he really does need singing lessons before appearing in public again. Well done Germany, just seen the winning entry on YouTube and it's not at all bad - at least the singer shows a bit of enthusiasm. The UK gets an automatic entry to Eurovision because of the revenue we bring in. I think in future we should go through the qualifying rounds like the majority - that might just show how crap our entry is and save us the embarrassment of the finals. I saw Fairport Convention at Canterbury on Thurdsay night and think they should have been our entry, singing Matty Groves
