Good suggestion about Morgan. Perhaps that doll would be displayed as one of Grandma's favorite toys when he has children.

I did some of my shopping today, didn't finish it. When I got to the thrift store it was fairly empty and easy to shop, so I spent more time. For $11 and change I brought home a nice pair of dark brown Gloria Vanderbilt slacks, a "skort" as the shorts I was looking for, and a beautiful blousy red blouse for work or dressy occasions (like the meetings I have to go to at work in the evening).

I will admit that the dressing room mirror sent me into as big a depressed tailspin as any of them ever have. I'm sure we all know the feeling. Somehow our mirrors at home don't tell quite the same story, in so stark a manner.

My hands are still quite rough, but I used the pumice after a shower this evening, and they are in the healing stage. I did work on the yard some today, and wasn't wearing gloves, but I wasn't working full-speed for a long time, just sprinkling corn gluten meal over the plants then setting up the sprinkler to kind of soak it in. (It's good as a fertilizer and also helps fight off some of the fungal diseases that hit plants). I pulled up my yellow squash that wasn't doing well and had a worm that had crawled through the stem and was devouring the fruit. So much for the BT injection. I don't know what I'm going to have to do to grow squash around here.
