Subject: RE: BS: May 2010 Declutter & Accountability
I just got back in from Home Depot and the grocery store. My bags of dirt, humus, and mulch are in the pickup, parked next to where they will be used. Getting the bags was the usual hassle, though. I do my own work, this is how I get some weight-bearing exercise. I had finished loading the 10 bags of top soil and 4 bags of humus when a Home Depot guy, on the phone tucked between his ear and shoulder so he didn't say anything, started to drop more bags on my dolly. I told him no, I was finished.

Out in the parking lot I actually was so startled by a guy walking up behind me, pulling on his gloves in preparation for unloading my cart that I thumped it into the back panel of the truck. "No no no! Ask first! I don't need help!" Geez. Okay, this is 14 40lb bags (the mulch is light). Yes, it is work, but why shouldn't I do it? All they need to do is ask.

I picked up a watermelon this evening, and after finally clearing stuff in the fridge, found a place to put it. So now I've cooled down a bit, and will go out for a while longer after I set up the bread machine to make a loaf of Italian bread. While I'm out working it will finish and rise, then I'll put it on it's own pan (I don't bake bread in the bread machine) and bake it just in time for dinner. I have a kind of odd mix of stuff, but it will look pretty on the table.
