On my system I using a web cam Logitech E3500 via USB, also I have sound Forge which I use to record LP's as wave files via my sound blaster audio card. However when I record, the microphone in the webcam starts picking up the speakers, although it's supposed to not be in use. It's as if the mike is live all the time even when the webcam is not in use. If I mute the webcam it somehow mutes everything that's coming into the computer via my line in thus stopping any recording what so ever. Short of pulling the USB connection out every time I want to record anything can anyone think of a solution to this quandary.
