Well, seems like we've had this converstaion before but this song is a quiet and somewhat introspective song but not a blues song but...

...I donno about opening with it... Unless this crowd is like one of them where you can hear a pin drop, which BTW ain't all that much fun to play to, I'd open with something more up-beat that moves a little quicker just to get folks in the mood... A song like this has it's place in any folks set but ya' can't build a set around these kinds of intropective songs...

I do a song somewhat like this that Blind Jefferson wrote entitle "One Kind Favor" ("Please keep my grave kept clean...") that is like "Loser" in that way and ya' kinda have to set it up in the middle of a set as a transitional ("tragic relief"...lol) song that has to be follwed with something that is more upbeat and hopefull...

BTW, sets are kinda fun to put together, Oldster... Might of fact there are some formulas and rules to putting them together... Rule 1: Don't begin or end with a "weepy" song... Rule 2: Don't use the same key in consecutive songs... Rule 3: If ya' have a weeper then put it in the middle of the last half and be sure to do a little intro (talking) before doing the song... Those are just fir starters...

Have a great time...
