Yes indeed, I am as far away from your vision of Christian as one can get. I also now have a disdain for most organized churches today including my own. My belief in God is very personal and is based on faith not politics. I am a firm believer that Thomas Jefferson got it right .. Now if that makes me a bad Christian in your eyes ... I celebrate that ... but again do not send me emails railing against others who disagree with you. To quote Thomas Jefferson:

They [the clergy] believe that any portion of power confided to me, will be exerted in opposition to their schemes. And they believe rightly; for I have sworn upon the altar of god, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. But this is all they have to fear from me: and enough, too, in their opinion.
