Bobert has it dead right.   It's also interesting that even Sarah, with her finely tuned political antennae, may have guessed wrong on this one. She's now trying attack Obama from the left-- alleging that the reason the federal government has not been putting a lot of pressure on BP til recently is that Obama had oil firm contributions.

It's obviously the "more populist than thou" approach. But with her own ties to, and enthusiasm for--the oil industry--this might not play too well.    Doesn't ring exactly true.
