While we're on the subject, I've had great results from using camera tripod bags for flutes & whistles. A single tripod bag will carry a session's-worth of instruments, and the more fragile wooden instruments can be further insulated by buying a length of the appropriate diameter drainpipe and having that sit inside the tripod bag. In this very way the rauschpfeife has survived all attacks from agents of the Noise Abatement Society throughout Europe.
