One's started on alternate Mondays at the High Brooms Tavern in Tun Wells (same venue as the 4th Thursday in the month singarounds).

I went to the second one last Monday for a laugh...and we played EXACTLY the same song list as Hamish noted in his OP above. They'll need to broaden that out a bit as some of the people who'd been to both sessions were a bit fed up that they'd played the same stuff as last time. Sounds as if there's a "Standard Uke Songbook" going around.

I agree that one individual uke (unless a good one, played by an expert) sounds crap, but 40 of them, even mostly played by complete novices, sound quite OK...and the singing was good, too. More popular than the Thursday singarounds in numbers participating.

We're trying to "migrate" a few though!
