If it was as ironic as Alanis thinks it is, then it would be really ironic, but it's only as ironic as Major Tom thnks it is, and Major Tom seldom thinks that anything is ironic, except, of course, for that unfortunate "toad the wet sprocket" incident, which I explained to Spaw awhile back, and that was definitely ironic, considering the utter improbability of a toad reducing a 17 billion dollar spacecraft to a drifting pile of space junk. Have I said enough?

To explain about Major Tom...He is a character in the David Bowie song "Space Oddity", an astronaut who comes to grief when his space capsule malfunctions. I consider "Space Oddity" to be a brilliant song, Spaw considers it to be a piece of worthless dreck.

Spaw, of course, is insane. Likeable, but insane.
