The only people who would criticize the Civil Rights Law are those who espouse racism.
They would eschew the only decent protection black people have against the Rand Pauls of the world. A lot of people today are becoming openly racist. The "flaws" in the Civil Rights Law can be interpreted as taking a luke-warm position on enforcing the protection of black or Hispanic people.

Just because we have a black president, many are under the illusion that racism is dead.

Rand Paul, also, is anti-abortion. He has said that if there were unanimous Christianity
that there wouldn't be a need for government.

Rand Paul does not represent the widest scope of the American people. He is much too partisan in his views.
