Sonnet 03/12/00                        DIII

The words spill out of mind, as fast as pen
Can place them onto page: A stream of verse
That threatens to drown thought. How mortal men
Can hear the muse, and live to let the curse
Of Poetry run wild, I cannot tell.
I know only I cannot voice ignore,
That whispers words in twilight- Just as well
Not hear my heart, or long-past dreams restore.
But you have sent me dreams enough, to show
You hold the key to future. Heart shall seek
To find mirror, that I might myself know.
Would you, as muse, have me further hope speak?
Emotions now control: I find I care,
Though have not met you yet, Cassandra Mare.
