I've just now read all the many messages about the lovely lullaby Goodnight Mr. Moon (we will have to go and leave you). Like many of you, my nan sang it to my mum, then she sang it to me and I now sing it to my children. I too wish i could find the origin of this song, as its lovely. For the longest time i thought that it was just a family song that my nan(or possibly great-nan) had made up. Its neat to see that its become a family favorite that has spanned many generations.
