How can I give muse reason to spend time
In conversation, when I cannot hold
Her thoughts for even minute? Is there crime,
In wanting to know what she thinks? I'm told
It is not what I say, but why does she
Depart, without a word? Shall I refrain
From asking for these feelings, and let plea
Past made remain unsaid, to fade and wane?
How can I not be concerned, that her hours
Do not have room for me? Each moment spent
With words brings dreams, but I would know her powers
More: To see her eyes, yet keep desires pent.
I would rather that she would tell me go,
Than watch her disappear, and not reason know.
