Has anyone here heard of him?

I am interested in knowing a bit more about his history.

All I know at the moment is that he is/was one of the last true travelling singers of Ireland.

His songs talk of the hardship and the joy to be found on the open road.

He is known for such beauties as "The maximatosis Rabbit", and a cruel version of "The Black Velvet Band", entitled "The Old Morris Van", in which he beds various unsuspecting lasses and is arrested for fornicating in public.

His serious side is hard, honest, and pulls no punches.
