Max is currently trialling an updated version of Mudcat where he is playing with possible new features. Based on comments I have read on other threads, I believe that certain
things connected with membership are working better there compared with the main site.
Try going to http://dev.mudcat.org/ and try your changes there.
If I have misunderstood, or it is not successful, you can always wait for someone who actually knows...
