You need to provide a more detailed description for me to make sense of:

Is it a 5-string banjo?

What kind of inlay work is on the fingerboard, if any?

What is the diameter of the head?

Is the neck carved at the heel?

What kind of pegs are on the peghead, friction or geared?

Pictures would certainly help a whole lot. Do you have digital images you could post to Facebook?
