I'm rather surprised there's no mention of this guy on Mudcat. He's from Iowa, writes his own songs, and names Frank Proffitt and Ralph Stanley as role models. The thing that amazes me is that he seems to travel a punk/goth circuit - folks who tend to scream and play very loud chaotic stuff. Yet he gets them to listen to his a cappella or one-instrument (banjo or guitar) music. Has anyone seen him live?
