I worked for state government for 30 years. I did not need to be told certain unwritten guidelines. When you disagreed with a person of higher rank you discussed it face to face with the good ones and you did not pursue the issue with the jackasses. It did not take long to tell which was which. You might bitch in the breakroom or to a close co-worker but you did not bitch in Wal-Mart, in front of a TV camera or to a Rolling Stone reporter. Anyone who believes McCrystal was let go because of his honesty is either extremely naive or trying to be ugly. The fact that McChrystal's name was misspelled might suggest something.
