Anyone had any success / failures with using the WinAmp plugin instead of iTunes?

I tried an early version of WinAmp and it sucked so badly that I uninstalled and never went back.

However I might be tempted if the iPod integration works, because I loath iTunes with an intensity of seething teeth-grinding hatred I previously thought I'd only ever feel for Margaret Thatcher ...
