We were lucky enough to have Dirk along with members of Portland's Foghorn String Band performing in West Vancouver last Friday.
Dirk sang Waterbound and preceded it with a very touching introduction in which he explained that as a teenager he felt isolated from his musical mentor grandfather who lived across the Ohio river in Kentucky.
This show was part of the Vancouver Jazz festival which is really developing into something special
