Just in case any of you lovely Catters are interested, I saw a fracture specialist at our local hospital on Friday. I was rather hoping he would tell me that the French were being over cautious and that I could actually put weight on the leg and start walking again.

Alas, he told me that the hip was in FOUR fragments (I never do things by half!) and that it would probably take 3 months for the bones to knit together. I have another appointment in 4 weeks time when they will x-ray again and, of course, I'm hoping the news will be better.

I know I'm healing as I can feel a big difference on a daily basis.
