I can help if he gets to south Wales. Anne L's (and Steve's) is a good starting point for the area. I'll research the blues venues to see if there's anything worthwhile for Max. Llantrisant have Cloudstreet on the 25th (may not be his thing). I can do a bit of running around the area for sight-seeing if required - Heritage CFoast, Gower, Big Pit Mining Museum (it's free) and St Fagans Museum of Welsh Life (if he wants culture - again it's free).
