I am contemplating buying the Octave Guitar from Lark in the Morning. I would appreciate any comments from people who have dealt with them.

Getting the details of the guitar from them is like pulling teeth. Each time I ask three questions I get one answer. Does anyone know about the thing. It is listed in their www site as an "Octave Guitar GUI001"

Two particular questions I have about it are: Where is it made? and Can you use ordinary steel strings cut down to size on it?
