*states rights* is code for "I don't want anyone telling me what to do...about guns, booze, taxes, tobacco, speed limits...etc., and I intend to live in a place where those who agree with me out-vote everyone else - no matter what all you liberal pansies think."

Those who like the above definition have a VERY narrow idea of what The United States means.
