How long have I been here....? Huh, what century is this? I can recall that when I first arrived at Mudcatville there was only one dirt road, called Main Street, both city limit signs, Welcome to Mudcatville and You Are Now Leaving Mudcatville, were on the same pole. If a bus came through the folks in front were out of town before the ones in the back ever arrived! That was back in nineteen-hundred-something...I've watched this little burg grow into a respecable sized metropolis, heck there must be some hundred and fifty folks living here now. Given enough time I could probably name all of them, but with my old memory I know you haven't got that much time! This place is the kind twilight zone that once you arrive you never really ever leave. Oh, you may go on to other places but part of you always stays here in the company of good spirits, all interested in the same types of music and nonsense that originally drew you here. A real nice community it is...Well I gotta go off for a while, promised Cletus and the boys I'd meet 'em down at the ole fishin' hole long about sunup.
