Does the Panda Cloud AV mean that it's a "cloud" application?

This means that the program is on a server somewhere, and you must have a connection to the server in order for the AV to function on your machine.

If it really is a "cloud program," what do you do in the very common case where malware prevents you from getting to the internet, and you can't even run a scan when the problem pops up?
