Thanks Will. The Vimeo privacy settings look similar to Flickr and would suit me better than You Tube.

When I looked earlier, I didn't think you could upload videos to Picasa. It seems you can, but the information is not exactly clear. In fact their basic information is poor generally. Too much "Look how wonderful we are" and not enough hard information. It also looks as if the video uploads end up on You Tube (both Picasa and You Tube being owned by Google), and as I said at the beginning I am not exactly happy with You Tubes style of privacy settings.

I did eventually find how Picasa's privacy settings worked after a bit of a hunt round and they are virtually the same as You Tube.
