Oh, now I have that song on my mind!

I was at girls' camp starting in 1976 (at Brighton, at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon just east of Salt Lake City) and learned I Know a Place then. I've been singing it to my boys at night since they were very young. In fact, most of the songs are familiar.

After every meal was finished, and before the singing started, the groups at each table would pound three times and then shout some tidbit of information in unison. For example, one table might shout, "Sprig's group is ready to hike!" and another group would shout, "We'll beat you to the top of Mount Majestic!" That pounding and shouting was what we called Horse and Goggles.
