When I had surgery a couple of years ago I remember that for days eating was not only too much effort but the sight of food was almost repulsive. A dog, surely, can have the same reaction.

The doctor assured me that he's never heard of anyone whose appetite did not come back. :)

Here's to Faulkner's returned appetite and to the hope that he comes roaring back to health for as long as he may have remaining.
