Unfortunately, the store where I bought the zip drive (an external SCSI, by the way) was a currently impoverished friend. Yeah, right, "Gimme my cheque back". Sure.

I found and reinstalled, as I thought, my Eudora mailboxes, but Eudora is only showing some of them. I've now got it downloading my mail, at a snail's pace. I've re-set-up my two email accounts (for maillists and business) and am trying to download mail so that I can set up filters before the flood of morning mail comes in. Why is it coming in so slowly? Perhaps it's 40 copies of the entire version of the Koran in Arabic and translation some nut was sending around the net a few months ago? I had filtered out his name, may he be the accursed of Allah's least favourite ass, but of course my filters are gone.

Sorry. I feel better now. But I still have no CD sound.
