Just got back today after another fab Saddleworth festival. Many thanks to the committee and all. Great music from older hands and again as always at Saddleworth, some fabulous young talent like Twelfth Day; great combination and sound from Catriona's fiddle and Esther Swift playing a wonderful harp - instrument normally seen in a sympnony orcestra.

Sat night with Dougie Maclean was brilliant! Hometowners & Tony Downes were fab as ever - glad to see Pete 'sheep crook' MacMillan recovering well after op; Hissyfit, harmoniously brillient as ever and loads more. Still the rain but not as many puddles on the puddleworth campsite this year - my tent endured.

Wars of Roses? well as Orson says, some great broadsides but Ackrington allstars just tipped the balance methinks (or was it that wad of notes in Stan's hands?)

So let's hope and look fwd to a 14th (my 13th) be terrible if this geat annual get-together didn't continue - mebbe a few more fund-raising evets b4 then ?
