Clearly the latest wheeze for the gullible Hi-Fi brigade. First they had special speaker leads, then came along exceedingly expensive interconnecting cables now, it seems, they have discovered ridiculous mains leads.

For anyone who believes this sort of tripe, have a look at the equipment used in the average studio; by the people who are producing the records these people are listening to.

I remember an article by Hugh Ford in Studio Sound Magazine many years ago - Mr Ford was a right nit picker and if something was wrong he would find it, he once criticised a tape recorder for having VU meters with scales which differed slightly from the approved British Standard colour - he tested the so called "low capacitance" speaker leads and explained the mathematics behind why they were theoretically better than bell wire. His advice, however, was that the average person would notice no difference providing they kept the speakers within a quarter of a mile of the amplifier.
