In the case of ACORN, they'd already done a number of things for which they were escaping prosecution--they needed to have their funding cut off. But in this case, Ms. Sherrod had already been discharged before Fox News even picked up the story.

            One of the right-wing story lines out there now is, the Obama administration set the whole thing up for the purpose of trying to make "race" relevant again, in time for the mid-term elections.

            While that might see wild and unfounded, it's no worse than a lot of the stuff coming from the left-wind media. The truth seems to be the victim in all of this.
