Americanisms get me. OK, they have different names for some things, but that's just a dialect thing - you'll find that between different parts of Britain. But what gets me is the common mispronunciation of things where English says it normally, and the Americans have somehow gone off in a direction which not only doesn't match English, but also doesn't match the spelling of the word! For instance, "aloominum" instead of "aluminium" - why the long "u", and is the "i" thief at work over in the States?Grab.
