Subject: RE: BS: Thought experiements
Every day is a thought experiment
Open minds allow for all kinds of possibilities and one person's dream is another's nightmare.
I, like you, FEEL music. It imbibes me and reaches something inside of me that is so intense at times it overwhelms my usual control mechanisms and emotional calmness. It resonates within and can echo inside my heart and mind, touching me for a long time after the actual event.
In a quantum universe, where we may all be connected to everyone and all things all the time, I dream of a cosmic memory. If the cosmos has a memory then imagine the effects of we being able to tap into that. Perhaps composers and poets already do. Perhaps they catalyse our own thoughts and feeling, and thus start the reaction that you describe, but the greatest thing is to be able to see something and o it entirely at will ourselves.
A smile, a wink, a touch, a smell, a kiss, a taste.... all simple things with gigantic emotional permutations. Sight and sound. Such wonderous and beautiful gifts of nature - and I accept some would say from God - that we need to survive. How much more better off we are when we use them to their fullest.
Then I awake and find it gone... but not forever. It is never gone forever. It is a moment away. A note, a glimpse, a thought, an impulse....
