I heard this song on a mid-afternoon radio program in 1949 or 1950 that I have thought all these years was called "Poole's Paradise," and I have also thought it was hosted by Arthur Godfrey. Both of these thoughts are probably wrong. Through the years, when I have mentioned it or sung it to those unfortunate enough to be so favored, I have met with complete incredulity and disbelief.
