We are basking in the glow of our win over one of the most famous teams in the world. What's more, we (Kansas City Wizards) scored two real goals, while Man U simply made a penalty kick.

I haven't kept track, but my husband says that the Wizards have lost the previous 8 games. Then they defeated Manchester. heh heh

I attribute the win to the following

1. Our goalie, a handsome blonde who made some incredible saves.

2. Fast footwork by a team used to playing in the heat. (We coped with the heat by having hats and big, wet bandannas around the neck or over the head.)

3. A steady supply of magic chants and cheers from The Cauldron.

4. Manchester wore shorts that didn't fit and impeded running. Those baggie shorts - good for street cred, bad for athletics.

All told, it was a good experience. Over 52,000 people came, when 10,000 is the normal crowd. We had a good time.
