Subject: Worlds of Trad Upload Aug 2010
Just to let folks know that Worlds of Trad's Internet radio upload for August 2010 is uploaded in time for August 2010, and it's churning out music from here, there and everywhere, even as you read this.

The full playlist is below.

However, this month we've featured a whole bunch of tall tales, porkies and downright lies from John Campbell, Elizabeth Cronin, Clyde Lewis, Cathie Higgins, Jock Duncan, The Blue Ridge Buddies, Séamus Ennis, Joe Heaney, Leadbelly, Charlie Wills and pretty well anyone else who can keep a straight face on a sticky wicket.

We also sample some new releases from Bert Lloyd, John Jackson and Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee; there's a Mormon parody of a Stephen Foster song; some great sounds from west Kerry and some exotic fiddle players from Africa, Bulgaria and Mississippi; we catch a ghazal from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and a double flute improvisation from Kammo Khan; and John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson, Walter Pardon, Robert Johnson and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown tell us they ain't gonna mess with the devil no more.

All these and much, much more can be found by going straight to the Station Player .

On the other hand, you can bring up the Station Page
first. Then roll the mouse over the face near the top of the screen and click the grey PLAY button when it appears. Then, if you press the little PLUS sign to the right of where it says Worlds Of Trad, you can save Worlds of Trad as a preset. That will save you having to search the next time you listen in.

Happy Listenings,

Fred McCormick.
