Is it really O'Carolan? I'd be interested to know more.

I know it was already considered to be an old English dance tune when "The Arethusa" was written to it in 1796 and I'm pretty sure that a tune of that name is mentioned in both C15th and C16th sources.

What did O'Carolan call it?
