I agree Gnu but why put a law open to that kind of abuse.
If you CAN convict him of gambling and CANNOT convict him of funding or conspiring in worse crimes then gambling is all that he should be punished for.
Writing a law that allows for punishment for association rather than a specific crime is unfair and in my humble opinion goes against Canadian values.
