Seeing this thread reminds me of an incident that happened with a friend of mine some years back. He was British but working at Radio Budapest and in addition to doing propaganda broadcasts in English would sometimes perform folk songs. He sang Love is Teasing having translated it into Hungarian. Unfortunately his translating skills were not as good as he had thought and the third line shown above came out in translation as:

"But as love grows older the love hole grows colder"

Needless to say the party were not impressed.
