Alice, I agree with raggs, your best bet may be to take the memory card out (SD is very common, in a couple of different sizes, but there are also some called "memory stick" from Sony, and Olympus has it's on XD cards. You should see sometime printed on the card, which typically will be released if you push it in a little. It should pop out far enough to grip and pull out.)

I never got on the ball on Bobert's camera. Oy. Different thread, though.
