Thread Name: BS: Is Rolling On Slate Naked Pleasant?
Subject: RE: BS: Is Rolling On Slate Naked Pleasant?
The latest expression to gain popularity in the UK seems to be the new term "naked pleasant", meaning "really not bad at all" or "a bit of allright". Funnily enough, it is used by people whom one rarely, if ever, sees naked, nor does it usually refer to nudity in any way at all and that's probably a good thing.
At any rate, here are several things I find naked pleasant:
1. a glass of port in the evening: naked pleasant 2. a drive in the country, hopefully involving running some wretched farmer off the road and into the ditch as one roars by: naked pleasant 3. a frightfully expensive dinner in Paris: naked pleasant 4. exterminating foxes and wildfowl on a sunny afternoon: naked pleasant 5. crushing one's business adversaries beneath one's heel, figuratively speaking: naked pleasant 6. humiliating one's underlings to remind them of their proper station in life: naked pleasant
None of these things are done while naked, but they are all quite definitely....naked pleasant.

p.s. Rolling on slate is not naked pleasant. Any fool can see that without even testing out the theory.
