"The Ould Orange Flute" is a song that gets sung tongue in cheek by both Catholics and Protestants. It pokes fun a bigotry in both communions.

I don't know if there's any indication as to where it started out, in sectarian terms.

Colm O Lochlainn in Irish Street Ballads (1938) just says "learnt in Belfast 1912" - and puts it in between Kevin Barry and The Rocky Road to Dublin.
