Thread Name: Bonnie Koloc discography
Subject: Bonnie Koloc discography
I am compiling a discography of BONNIE KOLOC,
and came across some interesting tracks available
on a series of DVD's which may have escaped the attention
of those interested. She is backed by a small "jazz" combo.
The songs appear on a series of DVDs issued by MVD (in the US)
and QUANTUM LEAP in the UK titled CLASSIC RHYTHM & BLUES. There
are FOUR tracks, spread over 3 DVDs - I've heard only 3 of them.

Those interested are probably aware of her new CD "Beginnings",
recorded in 1969, issued on her own label. I'd be interested in
others appraisal of the album. My initial reaction is the material
for the most part does not suit her. The voice, and her emotional communication skills are much in evidence....

Finally - if anyone knows of any Bonnie Koloc material hidden away
in radio transcriptions, film, or obscure compilations (NOT the Chicago scene readily available things such as the Steve Goodman tribute etc), please let me know.

Thanks, Thomas.
