Why would you think that they would recognise them?

It was Barbara Dickson - do pay attention at the back!

Actually I find that the young people that I work with generally have very eclectic tastes and seek out music they like in a way that's far less constrained by the latest fad or fashion. Because (I suppose) of the influence of the internet their tastes seem a lot less uniform and more accepting of variety than previous generations. In fact having a knowledge of diverse musical genres seems generally to be regarded as something that's quite cool.

Why you'd think that they should particularly recognise Dylan or Baez I don't know. They may be significant artists to you but I doubt they've had much direct influence on kids growing up in the 21st century.
