I haven't gone as far as "delete after reading", but all read mails are hidden from view each time I open up the mail program. I haven't been doing it long, but it's nice to have a relatively clean page looking back at me each time.

I've just bought a miniature Rowan for the bed opposite my side window in the kitchen, along with a really dwarf Yew, which will get no more than 2 feet high, if the ticket is to be believed. I already have an Irish yew there in a large pot. I used to have a magnificent Rowan tree, but it had to come down to make way for an extension, many years ago. The berries made a marvellous jelly, for use with meats.
