I added a dessertspoon of commercial chutney to a casserole which was really yummy and made such a difference to a boring stew. My son didn't complain and dead hard to convince to try anything new. This weekend it was my first time making jam, it was such a success I am going to do some mango or apricot chutney next time. As for smearing it wouldn't it sting? Keep it for the cheese and curry, yoghurt is much better.
