What an afternoon. For the first time I heard the ex rant about the county child support office. Yes, I know they're brain dead down there. When you call the office they're non-responsive. Yup. Known that for YEARS. (And it turned out they shouldn't have been handling the payments anyway, they were supposed to have sent it to a different office in the state that handles federal employee payments. After nearly 10 years of torture they corrected it.) But the local office has to terminate the arrangement, and they didn't stop the withholding, that were deposited. So they're going to send me an overpayment notice. Oy. Somehow I knew they were going to get in one more lick, just for good measure.

Son has the wrong textbook for class, good thing I left the receipt with him. He has to exchange it and get an online book. It costs less, so we're a bit ahead on that transaction.

The dogs loved their afternoon in the house, but were happy to go out and eat on the porch, and they're out for the night. I have to run errands, and get ready to go back to work tomorrow. Today has in terms of productivity been very slow. A couple of loads of laundry, and I cleaned the hall bathroom. A nice long nap, getting caught up after the eye-straining two day drive home.

And cooking for one. Now there's a challenge.
